Love winning stinkers like that. Take it and run. 9 more to go?

"Ginooooobili.....I mean Carliiiiiino!!!!" What a stale performance by Marquette, but a win is a win and we could not afford to lose this one. Also disappointed with the sushi crowd tonight, geez, get up and give MU the advantage of a home court crowd.

I think we just watched a game between the 2 worst teams in the Big East.......

Exactly. MU looked like they would blow Creighton away in the first half. Lethargic once MU got the lead. There seemed to be plenty of people at the BC, but the crowd just seemed so hesitant to raise the noise level down the stretch, not counting the final 2 minutes.

I will agree so far, but DePaul's body of work still belongs with us (and is still the worst of anyone in the league). Also, our zone can frustrate teams enough to drag them into a rock fight. I would love to see the offense return to the non-conference level of performance, and cut out the damn turnovers.

These slow down half court games where they pack the paint are going to be very difficult for MU. The ball movement was just non existent tonight........Derrick made 2 corner 3s and they still sagged off of him the whole game daring him to shoot.

He played a good floor game so I'm not picking on Derrick.....it is just with our present group we can't get the other team to play us honestly on defense and use Luke in the post.

Juan, Taylor and JJ were really bad tonight.....maybe it was the layoff? I hope so.....

I know he didn't look great in his limited minutes but if we are struggling so much offensively why not use Sandy more to at least keep the defense honest to if nothing more open up a few passing lanes into Luke.

I want Sandy to play a bit more, but there were no kick outs to the wing today because the ball was never entered to Luke. I think Sandy can hit open shots, but I do not believe that his presence on the floor opens things up for Luke. Teams will likely allow Sandy to take whatever open looks he would get from a Luke pass out.

Glad I wasn't alone in thinking these refs were terrible. Sometimes can be hard to tell from the upper deck.

I knew we were in for a ref show when they had to look at Derrick tripping over Dingman for three minutes.

The refs were just hideous tonight. Juan's third foul (an out of control Kreklow jumping into him), the Derrick foul call on him tying up Artino, Luke's second foul, a moving screen called on Juan when he was set, an uncalled moving screen on a late Creighton three.
