Not really a miss as Fox sells rights to CBS and CBSSN.
Are those rights sold prior to the start of season?
That's what I thought. So Nuk, I'm guessing op's point was that fs1 sold the game for pennies on the dollar (in comparison to what they could sell it for now) since it was done prior to the season start and prior to Butler being so highly ranked.
Remember, FS1 did also land the St. John's - Duke game for K's big night, so it goes both ways. .

Sublicense deals are done all the time. That is what CBSSN lives on and it works great for them. The deal with CBS/CBSSN is for 5 years which started last year. That is why the Wisconsin at Marquette game was on CBS.
