I got a kick out of the person who said that the new BE has not done much in the NCAA. His comment "The Big East has been led for better or worse by Conn, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Louisville, Notre Dame to a lesser degree."

Now, that is truly funny. Since MU has been in the BE, they are the only team to have made the tournament each year. ND made it 5 out of 7 years with 2 2nd round and 3 1st round exits. MU has 2 Sweet 16's and 7 out of 7 appearances. Nova 1 Final 4, 1 Elite 8, 1 Sweet 16 and 6 out of 7 appearances. Georgetown 1 Final 4 and 5 out of 7 appearances. UCONN 1 Championship, 1 Final 4, 1 Elite 8, 5 of 7 appearances. Cuse 1 Elite 8, 2 Sweet 16 and 5 out of 7 appearances. Louisville 1 Final 4, 2 Elite 8 and 6 out of 7 appearances. Pitt 1 Elite 8, 1 Sweet 16 and 6 out of 7 appearances.

Cuse and MU were last in the Final 4 in 2003. The only school, on the list above, that ND can top on the latest Final 4 is Pitt - 1978 vs 1941.

Laughable that anyone could put ND in the same breath as UCONN, Cuse, Louisville or Pitt and above MU, Nova and Georgetown. I will have what he is drinking!
