Thread: Diamond Stone #1 in Class of '15

  1. #1

  2. #2

  3. #3
Not to take anything away from Diamond Stone as it is pretty cool seeing a local kid in the top spot, but he is there by default.

If you look, despite being #1, under national rank it says #2 - that is because Karl Towns, the #1 player overall, committed to Kentucky and reclassified to 2014. So today Towns goes from #1 in 2015 to #7 in 2014 - still only 16 years old.

  4. #4
Default relative to Towns but the #1 player in the country vis-a-vis the other guys in his class.

  5. #5
If towns is #7 in the 2014 class either that class is really deep or 2015 is not a great class. That could mean Looney would be ranked higher than Stone.

  6. #6
I understand that Gato, was just saying that he was #2 until Towns reclassified.

As far as Towns now being #7 - well, he is only 16 years old, and ranking him against guys a year older is different, especially when you look at some of the names on that list. In a few years he could be better than all of them, but when you are looking at 16 & 17 year old kids, one year of experience is a lot.
