Should Fischer just let them go in for layups instead of trying to get the stop?

Yes Fischer and Heldt's fouls drive me crazy at times, but it is incredible how often and how easily our guards (include Reinhardt too) get absolutely burned off the dribble leaving our big guys to try and help out.
Agree with all of this. Unless we're playing a team with lights out shooters, our guards need to sag more to prevent penetration because they're simply not good enough/quick enough to guard closely on the perimeter.

That said, Fischer has terribly slow feet and is always a step to slow when sliding over to help. He also picks up 1 to 2 fouls per game 25 feet from the basket when he's hedging at the top of the key trying to defend the pick and roll. He's simply too slow to do that and picks up careless fouls in the process. Heldt has quicker feet and is much more effective hedging the pick and roll.
