So Dunn doesn't get listed as first team because he is preseason player of the year?

Intersting that Brunson is 3rd team and Henry is second team, but Brunson gets the nod as ROY....

Interesting that our potential leading scorer, Duane Wilson, isn't mentioned.

I prefer underated to overrated when it comes to sports. Keeps egos in check.

I agree. Some guys are motivated by being slighted and having a "chip on their shoulder." Just win and the individual accolades will come. End of the year awards are more important than preseason awards.

Definitely odd. Probably because they were two separate votes, some coaches changed their minds between votes? They really should be CO-ROY, both highly talented and both will start for their teams.

Looks like for the first and second team they took 5 guards and 5 forwards.
It could just mean that Brunson may be considered the best rookie, but is still not considered one of the top 5 guards when compared to all of the other guards in the Big East, while Henry is not expected to be the top rookie, but is considered one of the top 5 forwards in the Big East.

For those who question the validity of high school ranking of recruits, it's interesting that 11 of the 13 non-freshmen on the list were Top 100 on RSCI with Reynolds and Jones the only two who were not.

Rankings are not the end-all, be-all that some think, but there is certainly quite a bit of validity. We'll see if there is much correlation at the end of the season for all-conference and Top 100 rankings.
