Nope. Not Mac. (8.0 ppg)
Was Tony Smith one?
Tom Copa? Mark Anglavar?
Trevor Powell?
Tony Smith averaged 8.1 ppg as a frosh. Anglavar averaged 7.7 ppg as a frosh. Copa averaged 8.5 ppg his freshman year.
ge1974 - give that man an R. G. Dunn for Trevor (11.9 ppg).
Only one to go. A little hint: the last MU redshirt frosh to averaged over 10.0 ppg before James and McNeal. Honestly, I thought this player's name would be one of the first mentioned, especially since he has been talked about a fair amount this past spring.
As for Wade, yes, he could have played a fourth year as a fifth-year seniors as long as he met specific academic requirements after his fourth year in school.
IIRC Wade was a Prop46, which meant if he maintained a 3.0 GPA or better each year he was at Marquette, he would gain that fourth year back. He did maintain a 3.0 or better while he was here. Unlike Prop48 where you just give up that first year.
