    MU Roster 2015-16

MU's website now has the initial 2015-16 roster listing posted. Just has the returnees and Wally and just one of the Mache twins.

Congrats to Michael Mache at making it as our sixth man for next year

Glad to see Cam took his dad's number !

Did they have to jettison one of the twins to make room for Cam?

Edit: nvmd, found this in the JS story

"Marquette will again have two walk-ons, but not the same ones as last year. Michael Mache will return, but his twin brother Matthew will not after deciding to leave the program to focus on academics during his final year at Marquette."

Why? There's no limit to the number of walk-ons a team can have. Carolina has a dozen or so every year.

The kid decided to leave, nothing wrong with that. Obviously the other will be Marotta.

It would be fun to be apart of the team, but if you know you have no future in basketball it can be an awfully large time commitment to take on just for fun. Good for the kid for recognizing that and deciding to focus on school. Not sure I would have made the same choice at that age.

I have witnessed the time commitment of D1 Athletics and what you lose from the normal college student. It can be taxing and I fully understand why someone would not want to do it. There are rewards and perks, yes. But the demands are awfully great.
