Also think it's ironic that most stories, even the one by Matt Velasquez, mentions the "no offer from Wisconsin" comment, like they need to clarify or they'd be butt hurt that a typical Bo Ryan recruit came to MU instead of there.Last edited by Djgoldnboy; 05-19-2015 at 11:08 AM.

There are two ways to take that.
1 - Madison didn't offer because SH was beneath them and that is why he went to lowly Marquette.
2 - A slap in the face to SH and his family that MAdison didn't spend much time recruiting him. SH is going to be fired up for the games in early December when he has a chance to exact his revenge on the snub. Many area fans of SH and his family are upset as well and are becoming MU fans now.
I guess which viewpoint you have depends on your fandom.

With Buzz, and even moreso with Wojo, MU is attracting more kids from outside of the city that were often a lock for UW.
As Fletch pointed out, with kids from around the state coming to MU, hopefully that will bring a new group of MU fans as well.
While you need to recruit from more than just the state to maintain success, it will be fun to see so many kids from across the state at MU.
