GT has a lot of size. Could be a real challenge for MU.

Yeah a couple transfers into the program, and a couple freshmen. They will really have the height advantage.

That's a big roster ... and I don't mean size. 20 people listed on the roster.

Marcus Georges-Hunt will be the man to watch. A bit of a do-everything swing player that is the leading returning scorer after seeing three major players graduate and another transfer to Maryland. Their expected starting backcourt of Solomon Poole and Chris Bolden are incredibly inefficient. Derrick Wilson was notably more efficient on offense than either of them were last year and both are turnover-prone.

They have two promising sophomores, Travis Jorgenson was a three-star point guard who is coming off a season-long injury and power forward Quinton Stephens will likely be asked to fill much of the void left by departures. In addition to Lammers, they also have a four-star combo guard in Tadric Jackson who could be asked to do a lot early, again due to departures.

Either way, a very raw team, and full of journeymen. While they have seven players on the roster that are 6'8" or taller, six of those players have never played a game for Georgia Tech. Two freshmen, two transfers who sat out, two graduate transfers. Very odd roster that will still be getting to know each other when we face them.

If we can get past GT (a big If), we'll at least play some big name schools. Virtually every school in the tourney is in rebuilding mode (Kansas is more in reloading mode) so MU has a chance to surprise some folks.

Just to supplement, the talent base is very young. As brewcity pointed out Tadric Jackson was the star of this class and generally ranked as the #1 player in the state of Georgia. Nick Jacobs, a 6-8 transfer from Alabama, is also highly regarded. The real wild card could be DeMarco Cox a graduate transfer from Ole Miss. His stats aren't overwhelming but he brings some leadership to a team that is very young. The big loss, for Tech, was big man Robert Carter who was a beast. He transferred, during the off season, to Maryland. Bottom line, this is a beatable team but won't be a cake walk (will anyone this year?)
