AAC tourney moves from Memphis to Hartford in 2015. Talk about Orlando in 2016.

Attendance was poor in Memphis. But if UConn loses early, it might be bad there as well.

Memphis had the same problem in the Great Midwest and Conf. USA days when Marquette was in the league. The people don't want to pony up for tickets other than seeing Memphis.
The South Region of the ncaa tourney wasn't even sold out.

Most conference tournaments have relied heavily on the home team to fill the stands. That's why most have gone away from neutral sites. Basically, the tuornament needs to either be located in a destination city like NYC for the Big East of Vegas for the WCC (which the Pac-whatever is trying to copy). Hartford is not going to draw lots of fans from Tulsa or SMU. Heck, it's not gonna draw lots from Philly or Cincy either. NYC, on the other hand...

This is yet another reason keeping MSG is huge for the Big East.

Ya, Las Vegas is huge. Pac-12, WCC, Mtn. West and WAC.
