Wow - she must have gone down hill pretty quickly - I thought she had kind of stabilized a bit.

I just heard this on Sirius XM. Very sad news.
She was just at SMU on Thursday for the 3 point/Slam Dunk events.March Madness starts in November

So sad. Her parents and family must be devastated. Bless the MSU team and staff for trying to bring her some joy at the end of her too brief life.

terrible story and touching story all wrapped into one. I have enjoyed watching payne and lacey interact over the last year or two up here in Michigan. Such a great sight to see a kid's smile touch a stranger and then to see that reciprocated. by all indications, heaven welcomed in a good one.
