Broeker

I just finished listening to the IWB and Zach podcast. The Broeker interview was outstanding. I have known Broeker for many years and I know him to be a top shelf guy--a valued friend. Putting that aside, why in the hell has he not been hired as our AD? The guy knows his stuff, is excellent with alums and is already doing the most important things that are needed to be done in our athletic department. What the hell is MU waiting for? Anyone else is a risk. We got Larry who has a great resume and was probably excellent in the interview process. Yet, in practice, there were elements of his reign that were disastrous. If we hire someone other than Mike Broeker, we are again taking some risk--could be a small risk but a risk nonetheless. Larry looked like a risk free hire. Broeker has already had a 10 year interview. He will not mess this up, in fact he will add great value to all of our teams. It is time for Fr. Wild to make the move. Hire Broeker now.

Aren't they planning on hiring the President first and letting him hire the AD? I know that didn't work out well last time.....

If you have a talented guy, you keep him in house. If we are waiting for a new President, Broeker, or any of the other finalist for that matter, may be working somewhere else. Cannot put everything on hold for a new prez. That prez may want to do 100 other things first.
