    MU Moves Up in Rankings

As expected, MU moves up a few slots in the rankings.

    AP - MU is 17.
Coaches Poll - MU is 18.
CBS Poll - MU is 20.
    RPI - MU is 11.

Two wins this week would likely edge them up a bit, but more importantly, keeps MU ranked for at least the first couple weeks of February. That should translate into a good seed.

Always important to see MU going accross the scroll on ESPN as that is something recruits see too.

Great point about February - Unless you completely fall apart, teams ranked in February will be dancing in March.

One at a time. We are going through a stretch a games that are winnable for Marquette, but if you look past anyone, you'll get beat.

South Florida comes in a 5-2 in league play. Huge game. Gotta protect home court.

Correct, especially this year. The B-East is up for grabs. Seton Hall 4-3 & South Florida 5-2 while Pitt is 0-7, Louisville 3-4 and 'Nova 3-5.

Black is white, up is down, cats & dogs living together, its mass hysteria, real wrath of God type stuff.

The Big East may not have as many top teams this year as last year, but the lower level teams have elevatated their game. Overall the league is stronger top to bottom so those games that last year were thought to be automatic Ws or would be considered 'bad' losses are now tough games.
