Congrats to Wally Ellenson for clearing 7'1" to win the gold medal at the Pan Am Junior Games in Columbia. Not bad for an incoming sophmore guard at Minnesota.

I can never figure that out. I had a buddy in high school that was 5'9-5'10 and he won state with a 6'6 jump. How in the hell can you get your entire body that high up over your own height? Amazing feat.

Incredible to watch a guy 6'5" clear a bar at that type of height.
Didn't he win the high school dunk contest, or come in second when he was a senior?
