"When March Madness spills into April.... that's the gravy!" - Homer Simpson
Saw that a couple days ago - was going to forward it to a couple NBA guys here in the office, but they are sick of me telling Novak stories although they are secretly impressed with his story.
One thing I can't stand is when parents all make comments or assume that a tall grade school kid playing against their childs team must be older or have been held back a grade or two. Really, you think Shaq, Wilt, Kareem, Novak (never thought you'd see those 4 linked) were normal height until college?
Says Novak was a 6'8" high school frosh. So in grade school my guess is he was quite a tall kid. I can just imagine every time he played a grade school game fans of the other team made comments about how he must really be older and likely flunked a few grades.
Ok, that is just a pet peeve of mine.
Now back to the intent of the thread. That was a great article on Steve.
