    Old Big East Non Conference

Looks like Rutgers and Seton Hall will still be playing hoops for a while. Good to see.

What other former Big East, no longer in same conference games should continue? Did Syracuse schedule St. Johns or Georgetown non conference? What about UConn?

It looks like MU will be facing Ohio State, Arizona State and maybe New Mexico or UCLA non conference, and I'm excited about the new non conference foes, but unforunately there is no mention of a former Big East conference foe on the schedule.

My preference would be to somehow add 1. Louisville 2. Notre Dame 3. UConn/Syracuse/Pitt to the slate. Not a former Big East conference school, but I've always thought Illinois would be an interesting regional non conference foe.

According to Larry Williams, Mike Brey doesn't want to play us. His quote was "running like a chicken!"

And it sounds like Louisville doesn't want to play us either.

I'm sure UConn will need to upgrade their non conference schedule, and I'd be more than happy to have them on a home and home (though I'd prefer Louisville).

Did we have discussions with Louisville and UND about games? It really would be a shame in the case of UND.

There was discussion with Notre Dame. Not sure about Louisville.

Funny how Brey said publically(IIRC) that he was interested in playing MU after the split but my guess is he now figures he will have his hands full in the new ACC.

Yeah, I'm thinking that must be it. It's not as though either team has dominated the series recently.

Yeah the ACC, or should it be the ACC/Big East will be a tough hoops conference. Of the 15 teams, eight are long time ACC schools and seven are schools poached from the Big East.

Pitino will not do a home and home with MU.
