While we're on the subject of margins ... here's one that makes Reggie Johnson's absence from the Marquette-Miami game seem important: The Golden Eagles get a higher percentage of their points on the interior, and a lower percentage of their points from beyond the arc, than any other team left in the tourney.

I was just about to post this as the key to the game. Not because of the difference between the 2's and 3's, but because of the thing that it doesn't mention. MU get's more points from 1's (free throws) than any other team left in the tourney, except for Indiana. We need to get in the lane, get their bigs in foul trouble and get to the stripe!

Didn't realize this one: "Marquette has won their first two games by a combined 3 points. That is lowest ever for a team advancing to the Sweet 16."

Buzz, the only coach left in the East with no FF experience and thus he is ranked 4th out the 4 coaches left.

As far as the seed goes - in the presser on Tuesday, Buzz, Vander and Trent all commented on the fact that they were seeded last. They all know it, they are pissed about it, and they want to shut those people up.

When MU wins tonight I guess they will have to be seeded no lower than 8 for the Sat/Sun games.

I would guess 9th. They aren't good enough for 8th, especially considering that Vander couldn't have helped Fran offensively this year.

LaSalle and Witchita State were both ranked lower than us and they play each other. So one of those will have to advance and get the 8 seed. Guess we'll have to settle for being #7.

They aren't seeded lower than us now, except by Wynn.

Gee, thanks Luke. Thank you for reseeding based on all of the games that took place after March 19th. I'm sure that there was a lot of analysis to consider. Next time I need someone to do super human feats of math I'll call you.
