    Whoa Jimmy!!

Man I thought he'd make the league but I didn't see him being this good. Remember when him and Fulce committed and everyone was so pumped about Joe and thought Jimmy was just going to be another guy? He became one of my favorites quick, I've never seen a player progress that quickly. He looked so lost at the beginning of his first year.

Everyone but Ted. Ted is the first one that talked about Jimmy and I believe that was before he committed or there was talk of him committing. Have to give props to Ted on that one!

I agree 100%, I remember watching this game vs Dayton at the arena and he looked ABSOLUTELY lost out there. Remember thinking, whoa, 3 more years of this guy???? Well just another example of my foot in mouth. His transformation has been absolutely amazing.

Jimmy played 43 minutes last night, more than anyone in the game but Loul Deng who played 44 mins.

    MARQUETTE
    MIN
FG 3Pt FT OR DR REB AST STL BLK TO PF +/- PTS
    Jimmy Butler 43 6-10 2-4 3-5 1 3 4 5 2 0.0 5 3 +6 17
    Dwyane Wade 38 7-13 0-0 4-7 2 5 7 2 4 1.0 3 3 -2 18

On the other side of the country.....not that he will play much with a 10 day contract from the Utah Jazz, but 2 of Jerel McNeal's first 4 games will be against Wesley Matthews and the Portland Trailblazers.

Damn JGB for nearly making me a chicago sports fan. I really hope the dump Deng so he can get the minutes he seemingly deserves

You must not be a chicago sports fan. Jimmy played 43 minutes and Deng played 47. They play jimmy at 2 guard and Deng at the 3. Jimmy gets big minutes when RIP is hurt.

    Trucks is right on.

Thibs likes to run Jimmy and Lou on the floor at the same time. Jimmy plays the 2 and Lou stays at the 3. You will also see, depending on match-ups, Lou slide to the 4, Jimmy to the 3 and have Marco at the 2 with Taj or Jo anchoring the middle at the 5 like he did last night when Miami went small.

As far as Jimmy replacing Lou, the buzz on the street is that Jimmy maybe the future 2 guard for the bulls. He just needs to get more consistent with his outside jumper. As you saw last night they like to run at least 2-3 lob plays a night for him. The actually ran an out of bounds lob play for him early in the game but the lob was off the mark.

This really reminds me of Jimmy's second year at Marquette when Buzz finally started to trust Jimmy and he started to grow as a player within the system. Next year will be interesting with Rose back in the picture.

Huge pic (in living color no less) of JB on the front of the Chicago Tribune Sports section getting a rebound over LBJ and multiple pics of him via a slide show on their website including "the" slam (3rd one) - you may to sign in - it's free. Post game locker room interview as well.

Did anybody read Thibs response to James complaining about the hard fouls?

Saw this on Grantland: After the game, LeBron James complained about the Bulls' physicality and hard fouls: "I believe and I know that a lot of my fouls are not basketball plays." Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau responded, saying, "I'm soooooo sorry. Reeeeeeallly. I would never tell my guys to be physical in a big game. Especially a brute like Kirk Hinrich. My deeeeeepest apologies."
