Thread: Bucks Trade Maker

    Bucks Trade Maker

Bucks trade Thon Maker to Detroit for Stanley Johnson.

Might not be of much impact as Maker wasn't playing. Does clear a roster spot if the Bucks don't keep Johnson, but Maker was only slated to earn $3.5 million next year.

I always liked Thon, and even with the trade request maintained a good attitude. Obviously, the Bucks didn't see him as an important piece going forward.

And we now pick up Mirotic basically for Thon Maker.

The East teams (Bucks, Philly, Toronto) have gotten better over the past two days.

Big fan of the Mirotic deal. More size that can stretch the floor. Didn't see that coming, and didn't have to give up much to acquire him.

I was already fired up for the Bucks. The Mirotic deal is really a great fit too. Add in a veteran on a buy out like Wes and look out.

That live block will be jumping come April / May and hopefully June!

Toronto just got better trading for Marc Gasol. Impressive. Think that might give them the edge in a seven game series with the Bucks.

Bucks have an open roster spot now. In the buyout market, I think some Embiid insurance is recommended. We need a big and six more fouls. That leads me to potential buyout candidates like Dedmon, possibly Rolo, Gortat, etc.
