LeBron / Wade and Urkel Glasses

I really don't get it, but I enjoyed Zagsblog's quick take on players wearing Urkel glasses - except for Westbrook.

When I was in college we had a few guys on our team that borrowed people's glasses for their individual pictures because they thought it made them look smarter. It took another turn when in an English class, a hoops player named Gerald L., showed up one day wearing glasses that had no lenses. He raised his hand and started asking a question in a 'professional manner'. The prof started to answer and half way through the response realized there were no lenses, and stopped cold, completely dumbfounded. He paused a good 10 seconds before he finished his answer. Gerald acted and felt like he was turning over a new leaf. Well, it didn't last, neither the lens-less glasses or the new leaf. He was gone at the end of the year.

Urkel is cool now. He's got a reality TV show and was on Dancing with the Stars - that makes people cool, right?

It makes Jaleel White cool, maybe, but not Urkel. Urkel is and always will be the epitome of anti-cool.
