Khadeen Carrington scored 21 points, Myles Powell hit the game-winning layup with nine seconds left, and Seton Hall survived to beat Providence 72-70 in overtime.

The Pirates (15-8, 5-6 Big East), who beat Georgetown in OT on Saturday, were playing in their first back-to-back overtime games since 2007.

Carrington, who scored the final seven points for Seton Hall, gave the Pirates a 70-68 lead on a layup with 1:04 left. A foul by Angel Delgado on the ensuing possession sent Providence's Emmitt Holt to the line, where the junior hit two to tie it.

Not for our sake though, correct? It seems like the Big East is trending towards 5 teams in the dance and we are in a battle with SH for that 5th spot.

Not necessarily, the SEC is looking right in the face of being a three bid league and the Pac 12 is five at most (and still think both Marquette and Seton Hall are well ahead of Cal in the pecking order). Big East is certainly strong enough to send six teams as long as six teams can earn their bids. Need the top six teams to keep distancing themselves from the bottom four (and while I believe Georgetown will tank now, I expect Easy Ed Cooley to keep Providence as a tough out).

make sense, thanks for the clarification. I still think only 5 teams get in.

I'd set the Vegas over/under at something like 5.25 or 5.5 bids for the Big East, as I think we have about a 75 percent chance to make it, and Hall something like 60-70 percent. The other four are pretty close to locked in barring disastrous finishes (and Nova could lose out and get like a 7 seed).
