    Prediction Time - DePaul (2)

I know we beat them by 25 not long ago at the BC. Should be an easy "W" - right?

    Wrong!

I have never been so down on this team as I am right now. I expect DePaul to pressure us the entire game. The Demons don't have the quickness of SJ, but they are still pretty athletic at four of the five positions.

We've had trouble beating DePaul twice in a season for a few years. Forget the 25-point win. It's history.

Prior to the season I had us beating DePaul, Providence, and St. John's twice each.

    Prediction: DePaul - 78; MU - 74.

    In short, TRAINWRECK!

    (Hope I am wrong!)

This goes against most MU- DePaul games at Allstate and recent trends a bit, but I think we take them behind the wood shed. Our execution in that first game (at least with the outcome in the balance) was the best of the Wojo era. I think he has the team's ear after last two games, and we get back to playing disciplined offensive basketball. MU 85, DePaul 68.

Hangover ends. Tougher than it maybe should be, but a Marquette win.

    Marquette 82-77 DePaul

I dont expect much pressure because I don't think they have the guards to do it.

MU rights the ship and wins by 8.

Marquette 83 DePaul 72. We will actually compete today.

Silver - I have to call you out on this. You tell us to forget the 25 point win because it's in the past (history) yet use our history of having trouble beating DePaul twice in a season for a few years to attempt to strengthen your argument. See the disconnect? You're selecting when to use history (past results) only when it strengthens your argument even though the most recent history which weakens your argument you tell us to forget. Sorry, just had to call you out here

Anyways, could your prediction of a loss be correct, of course - heck it's a prediction thread so there are no wrong answers. I think we come away with a win by 5.

    WCGE,

    Valid point about history.

I hope you're right about the win.
