    This entire season has been unfortunate for Mayo. Last year he was really a team player and part of the core of veteran leaders on the team (hadn't really been that in prior stops).

    It appears that Mayo was just a veteran last season and not part of the leadership group as this season, this team has no veteran leadership(or leadership at all for that matter) even though Mayo returned. Was he a team player? Yes. Leader? No.
