Thread: FS1 Championship Week

Pretty obvious that the Big East is protecting the top seed by setting up the schedule with 8/9 winner playing the first game today against the #1 seed.

Obviously not really fair for Hoyas but you can understand since it benefits the conference not to have Nova upset in their first game.

    Everyone does that.

#1 UNC is playing now and Oregon play first in their leagues today.

Indiana, Dayton, Texas A&M and Temple all play first on Friday in their Q-finals.

Looks like the Big 12 is the only league that doesn't. As #1 seed plays in the 2nd game.

Most brackets have #1 at the top and that means the first game. #2 is at the bottom and usually the last or second to last.

It's really not very good. With the exception of Michigan state, the big 14 doesn't really have many good out of conference wins that I've seen. Seems like all of the big ten teams big wins are against each other. Could be like that in every conference though with the way teams schedule nowadays.

Maryland can also string wins together. Those are the only two IMO that are Final Four worthy.

Place was packed for the semis. The corners were full. Maybe the Bridge (way at the top) was empty but that is not a good place for watching basketball. Great atmosphere tonight--that old BIG EAST feel, for sure.
