Yep. Getting to #5 would need to have the Friars lose to either Creighton or at SJU. Creighton could lose to Providence and Xavier to go 9-9, but they would have the tie-breaker over MU with their home win over X.

We could get to 4th if we win out and force a three way tie with Providence and Creighton at 9-9 because we'd win the mini conference, but that's out of our control. Can't see Georgetown winning at Nova, so a win Tuesday would all but lock up 7th at worst.

Right. But in a 3 way tie with Creighton and Providence then the tiebreaker is "combined record against teams that you are tied with." We would be 3-1 (2-0 vs PC and 1-1 vs. CU) which would be better than CU or PC.

Same thing if you substitute Butler for Providence, or make it a 4 way tie if that's even possible (haven't looked at all potential outcomes).

So, we lose a head to head tiebreaker with Creighton, but we pass them if here are any 3+ team ties.
