Really great news. I loved reading about Greg's toughness and commitment to excel. Looking forward to having him at MU.

Really? With a great game going on the "fighting 218th" is critiquing the on court announcer. I thought she did quite well. Showed enthusiasm and was quite pleasant. Screeching nails indeed!
In addition it's more about those wanting to show their gratitude than veterans needing the gratitude shown. Having lived through the Viet Nam era all I can say is what a 180.
I understand the NCAA wanting to clean things up on the perimeter, but there needs to be some leeway given to the guys underneath. They operate in a confined space. You cannot call contact fouls...
So the beat writer for Milwaukee's only newspaper would get his credentials pulled for reporting personal issues. Really. Has it gotten to the point in major college sports that having credentials...
Thanks, MUCrisco. I really need this after reading the boards today and fearing we had regressed to my freshman year... 1963. :D
I like your spirit and I agree... one game at a time. Still like this group. Just a learning curve.
I noticed that too and communication on defense was something Wojo said was missing in earlier games. Can't help it, I'm really excited about the future. None of this "only one game" stuff. I'm all...
Also graduated in '68. Read about the Rick Mount shot in the Stars & Stripes while in Korea.
Great read, IWB. It's sad how we sometimes don't know what we have in our midst until we no longer have it. I'm sorry for your loss and MU's loss. RIP, Coach Rab.
IWB, I'm sorry that my posting killed your website. ;)
Yes, I think so. I believe his daughters played tennis at tOSU.
I was a senior at Madison Edgewood. We were also in the tournament as defending champions. Beat Pius with Mike Juerewicz (spelling?) and Bob Steber who I believe were regular season Milwaukee...
Must have been a Jesuit thing. We used that at Brophy Prep in Phoenix around the same time...
I actually think that, if revisited, at least the bumble bee uniform would be legalized. Especially with the neon uniforms and distracting court designs allowed now.
Yep. I believe it stayed the same when they became the Kansas City A's. Wasn't Roger Maris originally an A?
I actually think MU is in a better position than the Big 5 football conferences if we are allowed to join the movement. We don't have to support a football team.
To your point, I thought I heard that Shaka had some form of Seal Training incorporated into his program. Maybe more like Buzz than we think?
I actually preferred the original Golden Eagle logo to the current one... more unique and predatory looking.
Just saw this article from Forbes. Wisconsin 8th. MU just outside top 20...

Anybody else have Creighton and Florida in the final game?:D
Listened for the first time. Excellent interview with Coach Wainwright. His comparison of Luke to Tim Duncan who he coached at Wake Forest, was interesting. I loved the "comfortable in who he is"...
Why should college football differ from college basketball? Non champions in basketball can win a national championship. Same in pro football or basketball.
If they want politicians involved, the presidents of the "Big 5" conferences could not find a better way to do it than to split from the NCAA. Also, the point about minor sports and their governance...
I totally agree with the quote. I think it can eventually become a very popular sport nationwide. I was driving thru small-town DeForest, WI and saw a sign advertising "DeForest Lacrosse"...
