Oh My GOD!
Did anyone see the starting intros for the Syracuse - Georgetown game? Wow. even my kids asked, "Dad, what is he doing?"
The guy was absolutely yelling, and adding noises in, and I quote....
"AND AT GUARD, A JUNIOR FROM ACCOKEEK MARYLAND, #5 MARKEL STAAAAAAARKKKKKSS.....CHAA CHAA CHAA..... BLAAH BLAAH BLAAAAAAH!!!! YAAHHH YAHHHHH!"
Cha Cha Cha, Blah blah blah, YAAAHHHH? What in the hell was that?
-
Maybe he has a cold and what we heard was a sneeze sound?
-
I hope they don't bring that announcer to the new Big East!!!!!!
-
What's strange this they have that guy doing intro's, but an elderly, monotone priest doing the regular PA work.
The gameday experience at the VZW Center is odd. MU does a much better job.
-
I heard it. I thought it was very lame and embarrassing.
-
Don't think that would go over at the Kohl Center!!!!!
-
Not that I'd want to hear a PA announcer like that, but I miss the old days when a televised game would broadcast player intros. Now, that's been sacrificed in favor of an extra commercial break.

I did hear it and was laughing. I thought McDonough said it was the Team Priest. Not sure if that is true or not.
