Finally got access to the BC network, not always easy.
What can be said about the first half? Not much.
MU losing the rebounding battle. They are forcing a lot of turnovers as NJIT has 10 turnovers to MU's 4, but sloppy all the way around.
The last 6 minutes of the first half salvaged their shooting percentage as it went from 26-34.5%, but still ugly.
The young ref - man this guy must have just gotten out of his first officiating class. Calling touch fouls by the book.
-
Sloppiness continues. I'm glad that this team is shooting threes this year as last year it seemed as if they were not allowed to, but they are WAAY over-confidant in their 3 pt shooting.

Your looking good in your blue!

Looking extra extra large I'm sure!

Stat check -
From the 11:54 mark to the 7:32 mark MU turned ut up quite a bit. Shooting percentage for the half went from 30% to 38.9%.
MU finally closing the rebounding gap, within 1 at this point.
-
At this point Marquette has taken 13 more shots than NJIT, yet only up 2.
Losing the shooting percentage 44.1% to 36.2%, although NJIT's last trip down court will add four missed shots and a make to the total.
-
Derrick having a very tough game.

along with Carlino and Sandy.....

Rebounding continues to be an issue. Big time.
Steve Taylor and Juan Anderson have combined for 18 rebounds at this point, but overall is MU losing the rebound battle 35-31. What's worse is NJIT's 16 offensive rebounds. MU has given up 14 2nd chance points. That is too many against Villanova, but NJIT?!? Awful.
