They are a mess down there. Probably bad timing that they are implementing a state-wide student information system for all the LSU universities to the turn of $100million.
My company is a software provider to the state for very key agencies and they were unable to foot a 6 figure maintenance bill.
This is happening in Illinois as well as we are running without a budget. Schools, hospitals, non- for profits and anyone else who relies on any state monies have gone without and have no idea when they will be paid. Chicago State is likely the first to see their athletic programs ended as there has been speculation they have no money as of right now.
Interesting that Walker got a budget through that did include some cuts for UW Madison and though it was tough for them to swallow, at least their is a budget and they did receive their funding.
