Official NCAA Tourney Thread

We should probably have one of these to keep the board clean. Normally, I don't complain about the announcers because I hardly notice them, but Doug Gottlieb is really annoying.

I think Gottlieb is actually a great color commentator, where he can use his knowledge in a positive manner and has to keep his jerk tendencies in reserve. Doug loves himself Doug, but does know a lot about the game and is good at analyzing the game action.

Example: Harvard had the lead with the little point guard driving in transition. Sure, there was an open lane, but he had two bigger guys close to him. The point guard made the smart move by pulling it out and taking time off the clock, which is your friend at the point in the game. Instead, Gottleib wanted him to drive and shoot a risky layup with no other guys there to rebound.

Big 10 has already lost two games (Iowa and Ohio State).
Wisconsin wins big and I'd expect the two Michigans to do so as well. Nebraska will be interesting.

Kaminsky and Hayes will be an issue inside for Oregon, but Oregon's speed on the perimeter could be an issue for Bucky. Real interesting tempo battle, even though Wiscy is comfortable playing a little faster this year. I went with Bucky in my bracket, but expect this to be a close game (I also thought American game would be fairly close though).

I may as well take advantage of this while I'm still perfect, although in our Brew City Bracket there are still 5 people who are perfect so you may want to hold off till a clear leader is formed ;)

My bracket has fallen apart in the evening session... Had St. Joes, NC State, and now North Dakota St tonight and all had second half leads and have ended up in overtime... Hopefully ND State can pull out a win

I'm loving this tournament so far. I know we are not in it, but honestly, that allows me to just enjoy the games and not have to worry about who we play or get depressed when we lose. 4 OT games! This Duke and Mercer game has been entertaining already.

The games in Milwaukee were not the best. I found myself not watching the play in the Oregon/BYU game at all. In fact, I could not even describe one single play. All I know is that I was wishing for more time outs called all during the game. It was bad basketball ... well, at least that is how I explained it to my wife.

My buddy asked my why I wasn't going to the games at the BC, since I could walk there. I told him that I'd rather sit on my coach and watch all the games at once. So, I didn't get stuck, watching a bad game. At least you got to see the Oregon cheerleaders. Well, maybe not if your wife was there...

Mercer is switching their D and hanging the tempo on Duke. Plus, they are a veteran team that can shoot. Hood and Parker aren't having great games.
