Double T Driscoll delaying the game another 5 minutes for 11 seconds.
Interesting lineup tonight - First time Chris Otule has not been in the lineup when available in over 2 years.
Derek Wilson
Jake Thomas
Jajuan Johnson
Jamil Wilson
Davante Gardner
almost made it to the first media timeout without a score by either team. At the 16:00 mark it was 0-0, MU draws first blood at the 15:50 mark.
MU applying full court man pressure, but we didn't see it until now as it was apparently only after a 'made basket', and well, there has only been one.

Butler 0-9 to start. How is the crowd? I am home with a fever tonight.
By the way, officiating tonight's ball game is Ed Corbett, John Higgins and Mike Roberts.
Mayo with the needle thread. Highlight reel.
If they continue to defend Otule & Gardner the way they are with Fromm on them, MU's bigs should have a night. Going man I would put Woods on them and no one else.
Butler is 2-12 from the field with 5 turnovers and only down 4? Wow.
During the ugly first stretch, Butler was 0-9 but MU was only 1-5. No scoring, but at least MU is being more selective with their shots. MU now 3-9 from the field. Butler winning rebound battle 10-4.
Consecutive trips down court - Davante fouled hard with a no call, next trip Steve Taylor stripped (clean) but player who took it away switched pivot feet with a huge travel, no call.
Butler doubling the wide post. MU needs to adjust. Butler out rebounding MU 16-10 and 5-1 on the offensive boards. Sometimes you just need to want it.

This Berry kid has 16 points all year, and 5 in last three possessions.
Interesting that during a TV timeout, Mike Broeker comes to the court and Refs come running. This guy gets respect from everyone, should be a serious candidate for next AD, I hope MU sees it that way.
Butler playing strong post defense despite being undersized. MU needs to pass quickly out of double team.
Solid half for Jamil Wilson. Need some others to step up.
Lethargic defense in early second half. Lots of standing around. No sense of urgency.
Mark - Was just talking about this with guys around me. In the beginning of the game they are man to man with Gardner & Otule dominating their man, but MU does not pound it inside. Then they switch to a low post trap and MU tries to pound it in and can't. Great scouting by Butler, but MU has had zero spacing on offense, at times packing three guys into the lane. Well, when you pack three in your opponent does too. Fine if you can shoot from the outside, but MU is limited there.
Jamil Wilson can't sneeze without picking up a foul.
And Jamil takes himself out of the game with his fourth foul.
Yes, this is bad, but students booing? Classless students, completely classless.
This is painful.
Facts are facts. This team is just out-manned in the backcourt, and it kills our front court.
Outscored 14-6 out of halftime. 22-15 Butler advantage on rebounds.
MU has 9 assists on 11 made baskets. While that is impressive assist-wise, it also proves that no one can drive to the hoop and score.
Butler is in the bonus 5:00 into the 2nd half.
Butler has five guys in rebounding position, gets the rebound, then goes for a layup and a foul, beating all but two MU players down the court. Has this team given up? Sure looks like from my perspective.

Appreciate all you do, Jim. But the fact that they expect excellence is not a bad thing or classless. That's how a program is built. This team has failed to deliver all year long and it lies on Buzz's shoulders. If your going to be mentioned with high profile jobs year in and year out, God bless you for staying, but the expectation is that you deliver. It would be no different if he'd bolted for one of those jobs and fielded a team like this after a few years. You've mentioned Kentucky as a job he may not be able to say no to. Do you think they'd be cool with a team like this? Just saying.
Marshall grabs Jamil's wrist on that three. No call. How do you miss that?
well, been a fun run under Buzz.
Nice run here...finding themselves, led by Burton and Todd.
Burton playing huge for MU. Nice run. Got some life.
Don't understand why Todd Mayo can't play like this for an entire game. When he's on he on, just doesn't happen for long stretches.
Todd en fuego. Start him, please. Like this three guard line-up with Burton and Otule. Offense/defense. Three guards are switching seamlessly on defense.
We need a chemistry guy on the court to bring out the best in others.
The most impressive thing I've seen from Todd is he's being a vocal leader during setup and dead ball situations. Love Deonte's game too. Kid will be a stud barring injury.
Wainwright propping up Mayo in huddle. Todd comes out off the huddle and steals it and takes it coast to coast...and one.
