Awesome... We are in many ways the headline game!
Interesting that all three new teams kick it off at home. Let's just hope MU gets better treatment then they gave UConn.
Interesting that the 3 newbies all have home games.
Other than DePaul v. Georgetown the other games look pretty good. There should be excitement with the new schools, so I think it is a good that they are kicking things off at home.
Is the MU v. Creighton game at 9 eastern time?
Wow, this is going to take some getting used to. When I looked at that lineup, I started to wonder which teams have the night off. Then I counted them up and realized that was every team. Am I alone?
Jim, you beat me to it!
Of course Georgetown gets to open with DePaul...if you know what I mean...
ESPN has bowl games. ESPN2 has hoops. FS1 has Big East hoops. I love NYE!
Thank You!
The New Year's Eve line-up is an outstanding kick-off and I think arenas should all be packed and that is important for how it looks on television. If the three new schools can't sell out for openers the NBE is in trouble. The Marquette/Creighton game is a nice capstone to the action. Georgetown will pull in a good audience early in the day because of their national brand. With the string of success Buzz has put together Marquette is rebuilding a national brand. Creighton historically has drawn more fans to their home games than many high major schools. I think you can expect between 18,000 and 19,000 fans, for the opener. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CenturyLink_Center_Omaha
