Looking good so far ... need to keep pushing the pressure and not let the opponents get a foothold
Luckily they called the foul on Haarsma there, because this team needs Bobo to not be in foul trouble.
Really worried with the amount of fouling that Bobo and Jay O are doing early in the season. With Paris on the mend, it's not good that the Panthers have a serious lack of depth at guard while we're fouling.

Bobo is an extremely aggressive defender, if we get refs that are quick on the whistle, he'll pick up 2 fast. Needs to learn to be a bit more conservative.
(As I type, theres 2 on Bobo)
Jordan seems to lose the handles on the ball on occasion for no reason.

This game is somewhat reminiscent of the MKE-Texas State game from a couple years ago. A lot of fouls. Except that game was never really in flux.
Kevin O'Connor and Bill Johnson are laughing at how bad the officials are. KJOC NEVER does that.
I wish this game was at the Klotsche. Some of us may have been kicked out of the student section by now.

All the frustrations that Haarsma has right now, he has to calm down and focus that energy into playing well in the second half.
We need different voice alongside Bill. Kevin doesn't cut it.

Kevin doesn't have the "radio voice" but he's one of the top three minds in Panther Hoops along with Paul Spicuzza of our podcast and...some other guy.
This is still quite concerning.
Something I've noticed is that the referees have been a major subject of every game for nearly a year. Is it that we're just blaming or has the officiating really been that bad?

Roelke got into the game before the under-8 timeout, yet again playing more significant minutes than JJ. Pretty much down to the lack of depth at guard but still very telling about how JJ has been played so far this year
Maybe these are Mexican referees who think they're calling rugby.
I think what's more telling is Wolf's minutes compared to JJ's, since they are both "posts." JJ is learning the post. Today would be a good day to get him some time, if only we could get the lead and separate.Quote:
