I have been been very encouraged by his play recently. Maybe he can have a breakout senior year.

Creighton 35 DePaul 33
Point Spreads for Thursday
Villanova -14 over Marquette
Providence -2 over St. John's
Georgetown -10 over Creighton
Butler -1.5 over Xavier
Providence up on St. John's by 11, 11 minutes left.
Final
Providence 74 St. John's 57
Henton 20 pts & 12 boards
Dunn 17 pts & 11 dimes
Bentil 14 pts & 13 boards
It seems like St John's lays an egg in the BET every year. Complete waste of home court for them.

Six different lead changes. Creighton up 47-45, 8 minutes left.
Is there a more overrated program than St Johns.
Would love to see them go get Jamie Dixon. Would have to think he wants to get out of Pitt.
St Johns is making the tournament this year. Lavin isn't going anywhere.
And Pitt isn't by the way.
Right. Next year might be different. But people are talking like he's a goner. I don't think that's going to happen even after next year.
My point was that STJ has underachieved compared to the hype that Lavin brought when he came on board and he hasn't lived up to that hype. Yes, they are going to the Dance but are midling seed and it is unlikely they make it out of the first weekend.
And yes, I am aware that Pitt is not dancing. But it is known that Dixon was not a fan of the move to the ACC and might be willing to listen to offers from other schools and may in fact like the opportunity to get back to the Big East.
Going to overtime with Xavier & Butler tied at 53.
Lavin has definitely underachieved. His recruiting has been good, put a few players into the NBA early, though lost a few due to transfer as well. But the results just haven't been quite there. Two bids in five years, two games over .500 in conference play, while I realize those are results DePaul would kill for, St. John's should geographically be one of the league's top programs. Not sure if Dixon would come, but him or either Hurley would be an upgrade in my opinion.

Bummed that Raftery is doing the B10 game on the BTN while Jackson is doing the BE semi final.
Halftime

Hilliard and Hart with 10 pts for Villanova and Dunn with 11 pts, 4 dimes and 5 rebounds for Providence.
Archie having a tough game tonight.
Not that we would have beat them anyway but all of those 3s they made against us yesterday are missing tonight ... Or so it seems
Big 1 there by Hart......7-22 now from 3 for Nova
Great game.....love a point guard who is strong with the ball in crunch time.....Arch made the play.....Dunn is a stud
Love Jay Wright saying there is no better place to play than the Garden. He and the other coaches are doing a great job of promoting the league.
OMG, OMG, WHAT A GAME!
We got the Gus effect going. Like Rob Stone said, the Big East is back.
Great game! Kris Dunn is a stud, I would be shocked if he's not off to the NBA. MSG looks packed. I am ready for MU to start making it to Friday and Saturday night!
The Soul of College Basketball!
Flipped over to UNC/Virginia after watching a great Big East Tourney game. Game was over and they were going through highlights. Reece Davis brings on Joe Lunardi to discuss #1 seeds with Virginia losing and Villanova advancing. First they show Villanova/Providence highlights, then they bring in Lunardi.
Reece Davis starts out discussing Villanova winning by saying, paraphrasing, "Joe, what does Villanova winning mean, granted the Big East tournament is not quite the same as it used to be." Why say that? So the ACC has average teams from 7 through 14, likely will get 6 of 14 teams in. Big East has a better conference RPI, a lock to get 6 of 10 teams in, and now the 3rd rated #1 seed......and Reece Davis has to throw in a "granted the Big East Tourney is not quite what it once was?" I just shook my head and laughed. Wish I was on Twitter so I could tweet Reece Davis. Let it go ESPN.
Watching the games makes me miss being at the BET. For those who haven't done it yet, do it. Hard to explain until you've been there
Putting who have twitter, which I don't have to send that message to Rece Davis!
