Butler just out executed MU on both ends lof the floor down the stretch
How in the world was that not a foul? Anyone watching on tv that saw a replay? Was Carlino fouled?
You can't just go to Carlino everytime down the floor....somebody else has to be an option
Didn't look like a foul to me
Didn't look like a foul to me. This team is terrible at setting picks. Fischer just picked Carlino, his own man.
Shove in the back not called. .. free hand was clean
Was thinking the same thing before the ball was ever thrown in Mark....both times.
Defender got his hand between Carlino's arm and body and poked it while making contact on Carlino's arm. Close call but should have been a foul.
Duane Wilson needs to be the creator on last few seconds. .. carlino can't create shots or space
Duane Wilson needs to make lay ups. Last one was fatigue but there have been a couple others today too.
Not too impressed with referee Tony Chiazza today. Dressed down Phelps after the last missed call.
I just don't think this team knows how to win.....good enough to compete but down the stretch they just don't get it done......really a shame.....this should have been a won
I told my son that MU is a very good bad team. .. Good enough to be in most games. Not good enough to win
Another gut wrenching loss.......great coaching job by Butler to foul at half court......
Any recruits in the house? Lord knows we still need more help for next year.
MU lost a game at home while holding Butler's 2 best players to 6-28 shooting.......MU bench had 2 points on 1 of 8 shooting
48-33 defecit on the boards just too much to overcome
Cannot afford to play the stall game so early. Now, Wojo is definitely not alone in that, but a ten point lead is not insurmountable with 4 minutes left. This is a good season for him to grow and learn lessons to apply to future seasons.
Am I nuts or did the Butler coaches T win this game? The refs completely changed the way they were calling the game after that, allowing Butler to close gap with clock stopped. They were letting them play until then.
He's talking potential recruits.
This January, I've seen enough failed stall offenses (in two sports) to last the next ten years. All but two guys shut it down on offense in last four minutes..that is just too easy to defend.
I am struggling with the suggestion that Wojo directed them to run clock. I think it is more an execution issue that left them with bad/defended/late clock shots, not Wojo telling them to dribble around aimlessly for 30 seconds.
Did someone piss in your cheerios this morning? I thought I heard that Sacar Amin was coming in for a visit. Wasn't Henry Ellenson in from Rice Lake today according to IWB? If he could make it with the storm of the century coming why couldn't others? Maybe YOU think about it. Geez.
I think some of us are just sick of the elephant being thrown under the bus over and over again...........serves no purpose
We are just not good enough.....it is really that simple.
It isn't any 1 player's fault.
ps The elephant guarded Jones and held him to 1-12 from the floor.
Agree. We just are not good enough. The team does not have a closer, the guy who wants the ball and can create his own shot. It's not a depth issue. Butler played 8, so did we. Los of teams play only 8. Fact is, our 8 are incomplete. They try hard, no question about that.
It is not the players fault, they are who they are. It is not a Wojo issue, as some simpletons on other boards claim. We just do not have the horses. Unfortunately, MU may be sitting home for a second straight season. At this point, we will struggle to get an NIT bid.
Though one of the killers was missed late bunnies in regulation. Seems Duane was responsible for at least 1-2 of those.
