Providence Game Thread

That is 3 times tonight Jamil has tried to throw one down from Lebron James territory. Make the lay up or draw the foul.

Derrick with a nice steal and then blows the layup...and then Jamil tries some sort of throw down shot from 5 feet away......just ugly

This game has become completely symbolic of the season. Really can't figure out anything for long stretches of time.

Derrick seems agitated and is a little out of control right now. Might be a good time for a breather.

Derrick's layup attempt there was pathetic, only made better by Jamil's ridiculous attempt at dunking through 3 guys from 8 feet out.

Buzz heard you. Dawson then makes a nice offensive move and bucket, again. Followed up with a boneheaded foul on a Cotton 3.

Gotta watch the fouling. These guys are deadly when they get in the bonus.

Just dumb......team just does not play smart

WOW, Burton is unbelievable down low. He is so fun to watch.

So back to back great 3 point plays by Burton...and then we foul them in the backcourt....and give them the lead back

Gardner has not finished all night. They have been swatting everything he throws up, away.

I fear the foul line might be the difference.....already in the bonus and the best free throw shooting team in the country

If they are calling the screen fouls against MU, why wasn't DesRosiers a foul on Cotton's 3? Moving and pushed his forearm out against Wilson to make the space for Cotton.

Can't let them get away from us again. We don't have the requisite 15 minutes it takes us to claw back into games.

If he misses both free throws you have to think about taking him out. He's not helping.

They're just... so... bad.

When DWill misses his FT's. does not just miss the FT, he misses them as badly as any center that ever played the game.

Don't you know, we need the defensive players on the floor ...

Seems like every touch foul goes against us and Providence gets protected. They've had no depth for 2 years and it always seems the refs swallow the whistle when any Friars get in foul trouble.

We aren't losing because of that, it's poor execution on offense, but it sure seems like PU gets the benefit of the doubt to let their 6 guys play.

Are we better with a point who won't shoot or one who takes bad shots?

Derrick and Juan need to come off the bench next year as energy guys. Fine young guys, but that should be their role.
