ASU not playing smart. Could keep MU in it.

This team has no toughness. We desperately need someone like Travis Diener.

In reality it isn't Jake's fault.......on a normal MU team he wouldn't be playing.

He has been touted as a "sniper" a "shooter". He has not been as advertised. On top of that, his d has been average, at best. Not seeing what he brings to the table to garner the minutes he receives.

Now, if JJ is a 5th year senior and playing like Jake, well, I would expect some bitching about his play then.

I really don't like O'Tule and Gardner playing together this game. It just isn't working (except for the recent 3)

Well the good news is that is the best half of scoring in the last few games. Of course the bad news is we are still down 10.

Regarding Jake, he's not giving us anything on either end of the floor. Throw JJ into the fire and put Jake on the bench. Jake has shown enough that he isnt able to play at this level. I'd rather lose while getting the freshman some tick than lose watching a 5th yr senior clearly get overmatched.

Well at least we scored some points.....Derrick was more aggressive and must have a career high already? On the downside anybody who thought we were going to have a great defense this year should probably re-evaluate.

I was worried when I saw ASU at 33 points about 10 minutes into the game. ;)

That's because he hit the shot before and the shot after the airball.

JJ is also creating by slashing to the basket. And he looks good on defense. Really liking what I'm seeing from him.

I'm encouraged. Maybe not tonight but some of the pieces are showing signs of life. Need Taylor to play defense.

There is that, unfortunately the results on the court say otherwise. Truth is that the game gets too fast for Jake. He is better in a slow paced game. Can't fault his effort, but...

Derrick showing signs of life, which is a good sign going forward!

Derrick Wilson is impressing me this game. Not just in the score box but in his leadership.

Call me obnoxious all you like. He has not played well at all this year. Today he has been brutal. I will stick by my observations, whether you are upset by them or not.

Look, I have refrained from calling out players. I just don't see a shooter/scorer that he is billed to be. I see the opposite and he has really hurt Marquette because of that.

Best two minute stretch of the season. Jake with two threes, Jamil with a three, J cubed with a flush in transition.

Need to give some props to Jake now. Hopefully he is figuring things out.

Notice how much quicker he releases after he makes one. Such a different shooter when shooting with confidence.

I have a serious man crush on JJ btw.

That last foul by Jamil is what always frustrates me about his game. There is a difference between a hustle foul and an foolish one. Especially with 3 fouls. He seems to get one of those a game.
