Great story! I graduated in '68, and remember all the turmoil surrounding the Al-Rupp confrontation. It was especially hard because we lost to those racists. Wish I'd been around for "the rest of the story" - but military duty called, and I missed the entire 68-69 season.

Graduated in '68 as well and remember all that turmoil as well. Missed the military part in that Vietnam era due to 4F for bad ears.
