What truly impresses me most about this season...

...is that we have the 19th most efficient offense according to kenpom.

For all of the 'ugliness' and lack of 3 point shooting, we are still rated that high. As of today, it is the second highest offensive efficiency under Buzz.

That makes me question the way that stat is calculated, that or the whole NCAA is down.

It's points per possession. Pretty straightforward.

Which reflects MU's success in getting to the FT line. Buzz always gets his teams to manufacture points some way or another.

I suppose that would make sense then, Buzz did say earlier that with this team he wants to limit possessions. When you do that and continue to shoot good free throw numbers that helps.

Although I have not dug into the numbers - Gardner's extreme efficiency has to be a main driver.
