Buzz Williams' Marquette Golden Eagles exploded out of the gates on Wednesday, jumping out to a 21-6 lead, something that hasn't been happening too often. MU started the game 8-9 from the floor, and also hit their first four 3 point shots. "We really wanted to jump out to that kind of a start because of the way we had started the last few games. Former Milwaukee Panthers guard Jerard Ajami is in his first year after college. Graduating with a degree in Communication, Ajami has moved into the color commentator role on home broadcasts of Panther games opposite Bill Johnson.

The Milwaukee Panthers are 9-7 in the Horizon League headed into the final two games of the regular season. They play at UIC on Thursday and Loyola on Saturday. Through my calculations, the Panthers could finish as high as the three seed and as low as the seven seed, based on how they perform as well as the teams around them. A quick look at the standings:

Saturday afternoon, the Milwaukee Panthers played in front of 5,683 fans at the U.S. Cellular Arena. It was a banner day for the Panthers as they fought off a scare from the visiting Fairfield Stags to win only their second game in Bracketbuster history, one of the final Bracketbuster games to be played by the Black and Gold.
