Marquette Gets #3 Seed, Faces #14 Davidson Thursday

The 2013 NCAA Tournament Brackets were announced Sunday and Marquette received a #3 seed in the East Region. With that, the Golden Eagles will face #14 seeded Davidson in Lexington, KY on Thursday at 2:10. If the Golden Eagles were to beat Davidson, they would face the winner of the #6 Butler vs #11 Bucknell game. Marrquette lost a heartbreaker to Butler on a last second shot in the Maui Classic, and is expected to be a conference partner next year in the Big East.

But Marquette must focus on Davidson before they even think about Butler, Bucknell or Indiana. "Davidson is like Georgetown, they are like Wisconsin. They play that type of game." said Buzz Williams, "They will have three really good shooters on the floor at all times. They play aggressive defense and really get after you."

While the players are first really learning about Davidson today, they did have some comments yesterday after the announcement....
