• Full Day of Basketball for Marquette Fans

What better way than to spend a rainy day following Marquette basketball.... If you are into the men's team, women's team or recruiting, Milwaukee has it all today.

1:00 - The Marquette Golden Eagles take on Savannah State at 1:00 at the BMO Bradley Center

7:00 - The Marquette women's team hosts Toledo at The AL McGuire Center at 7:00, and the game is being billed as "We Back Pat Night", with a focus on raising money and awareness for the Pat Summitt Foundation.

Recruiting? The 2012 NY2LA Sports Classic at Homestead features some major high school talent including MU recruits Garrison Goode, Riley LaChance, TJ Schlundt, Kevon Looney and Diamond Stone, with a highlight of MU signees Deonte Burton and Duane Wilson going head to head!

Let's start with the MU men.... With a new conference on the horizon, the Golden Eagles are set to take on Savannah State (5-5) at the Bradley Center. Coming off a high octane win over the Wisconsin Badgers, the Golden Eagles have had seven days between games to focus on their final exams. The key for Marquette is to pick up where they left off, they can not afford to start slow, before finding their stride. Yes, they should be able to beat the Tigers, but consistency will be the key to the rest of the season, and it needs to start now.

Milestone - Marquette is looking to record their 1,500th Win. MU currently owns an overall record of 1,499-914 (.621) and is in its 96th season of competition. When the team does claim its seventh win in 2012-13, it will become the 43rd school in NCAA history to reach 1,500 wins.

Eight other teams St. John’s, Villanova, Georgetown, Cincinnati, and UConn as well as Syracuse, Notre Dame and Louisville from the Iscariot wing are currently in the BIG EAST are ahead of MU.

Kudos to MU's Scott Kuykendall for the "Old School" reference. Before each game Scott sends out game notes to the media. The section about Vander Blue's stellar performances had a title of "Blue Showing MU Fans He’s Their Boy Early In 2012-13", obviously from the infamous line from Will Farrell in Old School, "You're my boy Blue, you're my boy!"

On to the women - Join the Marquette women's basketball team and legendary coach Pat Summitt tonight when the Golden Eagles host Toledo at 7 p.m. for `We Back Pat' night in support of the Pat Summitt Foundation.

The Golden Eagles will be selling wristbands and giving out information about Alzheimer's and early onset dementia at the game. All proceeds will go to the Pat Summitt Foundation.

MU's assistant coach, Tyler Summitt, will be speaking at halftime and be joined by his mother, Pat Summitt, who will be in attendance.
