• Pair of VISITS for Milwaukee

UPDATE: MY SOURCE AND I MISCOMMUNICATED. THEY VISITED, BUT DID NOT COMMIT TODAY. SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION.

Milwaukee had two players visit who could be part of their 2012 recruiting class today.

Donald Thomas comes from New Orleans, he is an athletic 6'7'' wing who can shoot the ball. If he commits he should be at the top end of the rotation, and his offensive ability will give us a much needed boost. Thomas is a speedy wing, something the Panthers need as they begin to push the tempo. Thomas is a high school senior from New Orleans, and you can see him play in this video:

Thierno Niang is a very strongly built, stacked point guard who is also extremely quick. Despite being 6'1'', Niang can guard all three guard positions and would share a lot of ball time with Jordan Aaron in the backcourt. Niang is a junior, having spent this past season at Triton Community College.

Here's a video of Thierno talking two years ago:

If they get these commitments, the Panthers will be looking for one more player, most likely a veteran guard to fill out the 2012 recruiting class. Niang and Thomas could join Jordan Aaron, Austin Arians, Joe Tagarelli and Steve McWhorter as brand new Panthers. JJ Panoske will play next season after redshirting 2011-12.

Update: Both are now committed. Whew!
