Aaron Durley Granted Release From Marquette

    Milwaukee –
Prep center Aaron Durley has been granted a release from his National Letter of Intent with the Marquette University men’s basketball team and will not join the program for the 2012-13 campaign.

The 6-10, 270-pounder out of Ft. Bend Bush High School in Texas had signed with the Golden Eagles in November of 2011.

“It has been a privilege and pleasure building a relationship with Aaron and his family,” head coach Buzz Williams said. “We wish Aaron the absolute best in his future academic and athletic career. I believe he will be successful in both.”

After missing most of his junior season with an injury, and this season where he didn't spend much time on the court as he backed up All-American Cameron Ridley, many feel that Durley needs more experience and time to develop before he is ready for high D1 ball.

Will update this story as we know more about Durley's destination.
