    Wednesday Workout......

The biggest story in town, without question, is the fact that the Milwaukee Bucks made a major move trading Andrew Bogut to the Golden State Warriors. This was a 5 player trade in which the Bucks traded Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson for Monte Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown.

While it is sad to see a class act like Bogut go, it was clear the Bucks had to do something. The only question that remains, is why did they make the trade? Was it to 'blow up' the team, clear some salary cap space and start over? Or, was the trade made in hopes of the Bucks making a serious playoff run? The Bucks are tied for the final playoff spot at this time, Bogut wasn't playing and the addition of Ellis gives the Bucks another prolific scorer. Whichever explanation is the real answer, it is a great move for the franchise.

Good to see that the story was first broken nationally by the JS' Charles Gardner. Charles is a class act.

The Bucks are back in action tonight at the Bradley Center against Cleveland.

    Milwaukee Panthers

The Panthers fell to TCU in the CBI Tournament last night, 85-75 ending their season. It will be tough for the Milwaukee faithful to see their seniors go, as Tony Meier, Ryan Allen and Kaylon Williams have all been great assets to the team.

Now that the season has ended, you will hear what any team with a good coach hears, "Rob Jeter to.....fill in the blank" rumors. Well, it didn't take long. Reports out of Lincoln Nebraska today say that the Cornhuskers have reached out to Coach Jeter about their vacancy after firing Doc Sadler.

We have no choice but to wait this out.

In Horizon League news, Butler looks to be headed to the Atlantic 10 conference. So, what does that mean for the Horizon League? What does that mean for the Milwaukee Panthers? Jimmy Lemke breaks it down.

    Marquette Golden Eagles

The Golden Eagles are in Louisville preparing to take on the Cougars of BYU. Prior to leaving for Louisville, Buzz Williams, Jae Crowder and Jamil Wilson took time to talk with the media, and Brew City Ball was there.

What can the Golden Eagles expect from the Cougars? We take a look at the matchup.

Today in Louisville the team had a workout that was open to the media....

    Howie Magner
had another stellar story about Head Coach Buzz Williams, is there any question that he is the perfect coach for Marquette?

    Wisconsin Badgers

The Badgers are in Albuquerque to take on Montana. While the Grizzlies finished with a 15-1 record in the Big Sky conference, they have not played anyone nearly as good as the Badgers all season. Montana does put up a lot of points and shoot it at a 47% clip. They will try to push an uptempo game, but the Badgers defense and slow down style of offense should keep the Grizzlies in check.

Game time is expected to be at 1:10 CT.

To say the Badgers were excited to pick up a #4 seed is accurate....

    Preps

The high school tournament resumes in Madison tomorrow, and as always, Mark Miller at WisHoops.net has it all. Who was the best senior this year? Point Guard - Carrington Love, Wing - Sam Dekker, Post player - Luke Heller, Defensive Player - Zak Showalter

Dominican Junior Duane Wilson tweeted today that he has narrowed down his choices to Marquette, Missouri and Memphis, and that he will make his decision in the coming days. I may or may not have mentioned this on the InsideTheAL premium message board yesterday.

As always, here are the brackets for your stat tournament finals in Madison....

Photo of the day: What in the world is going on at Stanford? I couldn't believe my eyes last night. A good old wholesome boy from Oostburg Wisconsin, Andrew Zimmerman is a standout for the Cardinal. But look at him in high school, and look at him now....

As SI's Luke Winn said, The 6-foot-8 forward is considered a bargain value for the Cardinal, as his scholarship does not have to include room and board. He sleeps in the woods, and his diet consists only of fresh game killed with his black-powder musket.*
