How many in-season events has Marquette won, not including the old Milwaukee Classic? I'm too lazy to look it up. A couple Great Alaskan Shootout championships. Have done pretty well over the years.

Good win for MU, obviously, and a good win for the Big East.

College Basketball Experience in Kansas City when we beat Duke behind Dominic James comes to mind.

Didn't we beat Michigan and Xavier 1 year?

At Disney, but lost to FSU in the title game.

I don't think we have won a ton, but we definitely have made it to the championship game a lot.

By a point. It was notice that Jimmy Butler was going to be good.

Alaska Shootout in 05... remember when Amoroso went nuts against South Carolina?

And the very memorable BCA Classic which we hosted in 04. I think we played Illinois St, Air Force, and someone else.

ESPN wrote that MU has won 5 in-season holiday tournaments in the last 11 years.

After leading by 20 or so. A trend that continued right into the tournament when Washington came from way behind to dump us out. Too bad, we had a pretty clear path to the Sweet 16.

That team was spent in that tourney. They basically played 6 guys. Three games in 4 days. They had nothing left.
I remember watching Lazar slam his foot on a folding chair after that game, destroying the chair. He was pissed.

Jimmy uncharacteristically missed his foul shots that game. We were still in it to the end.

That was a great tourney. They did an event for Thanksgiving and Lazar's b-day.
