I'm shocked Carlino is still out. He must not be doing well.

I'm shocked Carlino is still out. He must not be doing well.He really took quite a hit to his head/neck as he hit the floor. Wonder if he has an issue beyond the concussion and that protocol?

Monster win on the road for the Johnnies. They are suddenly in pretty good shape for a bid at 6-6 with three home games and a trip here left. Xavier now would be advised to either win the return trip at St. John's or the Crosstown game against Cincy Wednesday. May still get in the play-in game without them, but you do not want to sweat out Selection Sunday.

Yes, SJU is getting in line for a bid. Xavier has a tough schedule ahead and is squarely on the bubble. BE likely will have 5 teams dancing unless X gets it going.

Impressed with Butler, even in a loss. They executed and scored efficiently against a great defense in the second half, and lost to a career game by Hilliard.

Meanwhile, it is time to strongly consider Nova for a 1 seed. Gonzaga's profile is even worse then Wichita's last year (which was not befitting of a one seed), and they do not have the undefeated record to claim hold to. More impressed with Nova's performance in the Big East then Wisconsin's in the Big Ten (and I know which league is better this year). Kansas has too many lopsided losses (including one to a bubble Temple team that Nova blew out of the water).

Butler's Andrew Charbascz might have a broken right hand.

Really, really sucks if he's going to miss the rest of the year. Very important to their team obviously.

May not be quite that serious. Probably out 2-4 weeks (http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/25070059/butlers-andrew-chrabascz-to-be-sidelined-weeks-by-fractured-hand) according to Parrish's latest report.

He played the rest of the game with the hand. Missed that key lay-up late.
