There are no DePaul fans here. MU fans might be 5 to 1 pre tip.

DePaul center is suspended, will not play today.

Sorry. It is 10 to 1.

Really poor shooting by MU so far. Wide open 3 looks missing badly. Fortunate to be up 3, but should be up by a lot more.

Sorry. It is 10 to 1.

Place looks rather empty.

Derrick should never, ever, under any circumstances take a 3. I'd rather see Duane hoist one up from half court and it's probably a higher percentage play.

Carlino is having a really, really bad game.

1-10 from 3 point....ouch.

DePaul has talent, no doubt. But they're just so poorly coached and indisciplined. They give away a ton of possessions.

Not just 1-10, but most of the misses were clanks. All wide open looks, as well.

Ugly first half....took mostly good shots but all of our shooters are streaky...especially Carlino and Duane....

Derrick played well.......Steve Taylor continues to try to score through people instead of over or around......

6 point lead at halftime. Should have been more.

Wholeheartedly agree. You'd think he would have learned something from Davante playing against him at times in practice for 2 years.

Also, Taylor is a black hole down there. He drew a foul the last time, but missed Johnson wide open on the reversal. When Fischer is out of the game, I just assume that most interior touches go to Juan. Much more trust in him making a good decision with the ball.

Seems like we are short on all of our threes.

For a big guy, Taylor plays awfully soft. I agree he is a black hole, but he almost never gets a shot off. Either loses the ball, has it stolen or blocked.

This is really a frustrating game to watch. MU is playing poorly and shooting poorly. Too many empty possessions. Allowing De Paul to hang in there. This should not be a game at all, especially without Hamilton for De Paul. Not feeling real comfortable or confident right now.

And now he has one of MU's 2 3 point baskets.

DuPaul collectively has such a low BBall IQ. It's comical at times.

So, do you advocate a career sub 10% three point shooter shooting 3's? I stand by my initial post and am really anticipating a response on that topic.

Just missed a couple more. Just does seem to be able to elevate as he goes to the hoop. Consequence of that surgery?

Will never win a game with guard play that bad from Carlino and 3 point shooting that bad from everybody

This is just not a good team.....Depaul had lost 6 games in a row to teams like Loyola Marymount and Ohio....Oregon state beat them by 30...they lost to Lehigh.....

When you play 3 guards the whole game you have to be able to shoot the damn ball.....Teams are going to take Fischer...they will take their chances with Carlino, Duane and Derrick shooting 3s

Did Duane have 4 fouls? I felt like he didn't play much later in the second half. He made a few bad plays, but so did everyone. Too bad Cohen couldn't get in. He might have hit a 3 to spark the team.

Duane had back to back poor possessions, was pulled...but IMO sat too long. He was not in foul trouble.

This was a team loss. Everybody contributed.

Taylor: 1 of 7 from the field. I have never seen a guy his size have such a high percentage of his shots blocked. He can't score from inside. He can't score from outside. Let him play at the elbow. I think he can make a 15-footer, and he can dump the ball down low to Fischer. Ideally, he gets 10-12 mpg.

Carlino: 1 of 10 on treys. Not much explanation needed for that. Take away his GTech game, and he is shooting 35% on treys, just about his career average.

Duane: 1 of 5 treys and a couple of turnovers when he got stripped.

Derrick: 1 of 4 treys. What the hell is he doing with the ball in his hand with the shot clock winding down? Also, only 2 assists, and he played basically the entire game.

JJJ: Made a couple of nice baskets, but why take three-pointers from the corner early in the shot clock? Get the damn ball inside.

Luke: 5 turnovers in 17 minutes! Seriously?!?

Juan: Nothing egregious, but we need more than 9 points from him.

Cohen: DNP - CD

Wojo: Why "Cohen: DNP - CD"? Wojo was outcoached by Purnell. DePaul went to zone, and we didn't adjust.

Ugly Loss! No senior leadership in terms of making crucial plays.

The Luke turnovers go on his stat line, because others can't catch the ball.

Ya. Derrick had the pass to JJJ. The fast break was terrible for Marquette.

It was Duane. But Luke should have dumped it off to him too. That was a poor decision on his part.

Easy there, big fella. Where did I advocate anything? It was a comment of how pathetic MU was shooting the 3 ball as a team that Derrick had 1 of the 2 made.

As I've said all along, this is truly a rebuilding year. Need to take minutes away from those not so talented albeit hard working seniors. Cohen needs to play...period. Yes, the young guys are going to make mistakes. But, if we are going to lose to DePaul.....hmmmmmm?

MU is clearly not going to be an NCAA team. The best we can hope for is a .500 conference record and a shot to give the guys some playing time in the NIT.
