No, he missed 2 FTs that would have iced it. But Hill missed a game tying. 3 at the buzzer.

Scoop is going to be beyond unreadable from that comment.

Buzz had trimmed down the last couple of years at MU. He was starting to look relatively fit and healthy.

Today he looked bloated, like he's put on more than a few pounds. He resembled Curly of Three Stooges fame more than I've ever seen him.

He also looked noticeably older - kind of drawn, tired - maybe weary is a better word.

Something tells me his current situation hasn't been the exactly like Shangri La. I can envision him looking for the proverbial greener pastures within two or three years.

I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.

Hopefully for his health and well being he isn't burning out. I hope he fails at VT, but I'd never wish harm on his health or personal life.

His "Top 5" list of people is about 30 people long at this point. And I said that while he was here, he always pulled the "X is the greatest human you will ever meet" line way too often.

I still don't think Buzz will coach long term. His flirtation with CBS every year tells me he's angling to make the broadcasting jump eventually. I'm sure he'd could make plenty doing that and wouldn't have nearly as stressful of days. He did look a bit big last night, certainly more so than when he left.

Not defending him, but this top 5 is Lyle Wolf. Lyle was Buzz' right hand man for quite some time at MU. At one point Buzz told me, "All these guys trying to figure me out, trying get access to our program, to me, the team, our schedule..... none of them are smart enough to figure out that Lyle Wolf is the key to accessing our program or me."

We had Lyle Wolf on our show at one point. He was a great guest, really knew his stuff and had an interestingly different take on everything as he had it from the operations point of view as opposed to a coach or player. Next home game he came into the media room and sought me out to thank me for having him on our show. Great guy, will be a successful coach someday.

Maybe he messed with happy and that is costing him.
